Chichester Heart and Soul Achieves 501(c)(3) status, Focuses on Community-Driven Improvement

Chichester Heart and Soul has reached a significant milestone in its community development journey by achieving 501(c)(3) exempt organization status. This designation marks a new chapter for the organization as it continues to strengthen its commitment to resident-driven community improvement throughout the Chichester area.

Mission and Core Values

The organization operates with a clear mission: "to encourage resident-driven community improvement that aligns with the seven core values: Sense of Community, Education, Economic Opportunities, Safety, Location and Accessibility, Recreation and Open Spaces, and Community Resources". This mission is brought to life through creating and building community collaborative partnerships alongside dedicated volunteer efforts.

Making a Tangible Impact

One of Chichester Heart and Soul's flagship initiatives is the Chichester Avenue Clean Up events, which demonstrate the organization's hands-on approach to community improvement. These events not only beautify the neighborhood but also foster connections among organizations as well as residents who share a vision for a thriving community.

Chichester Heart and Soul is proud to partner with the Upper Chichester Township Recreation Board, the Public Work Department, Chichester Rotary, Planet Green, Green Delco, and Memorial Presbyterian Church to clean sections of Chichester Ave. from the I-95 Corridor to Flora Lane and Meetinghouse Road. Our hope is that this project will continue to expand with other organizations joining our efforts to adopt sections of the major roadways in Upper Chichester and surrounding neighborhoods.

Current Focus: Recreation and Open Spaces

Currently, the organization is directing its energy toward the Recreation and Open Spaces core value, recognizing the vital role that recreational opportunities play in community wellbeing. This focus area represents an opportunity for residents to come together around shared spaces that benefit everyone.
