Meet Our Team

Charlie Fisher

Community has always been at the center of my life in Upper Chichester, and I care deeply about the people who call it home. My name is Charlie Fisher, and I’m one of the founders of Chichester Heart and Soul, where I have the privilege of serving as its first President. I’m retired from the Internal Revenue Service after 42 years, including 27 years as an Associate Chief/Team Manager in Appeals, helping people find fair, practical solutions during stressful times, often involving tax-exempt organizations. Listening carefully and treating everyone with respect was at the heart of my work, and it still guides how I show up for our community today.

Upper Chichester has been home for more than 47 years for my wife, Rosemarie, and me, and it’s where we raised our family, cheered from the sidelines, and built lifelong friendships. I’m a former coach and past President of the Upper Chichester Girls Softball League and currently serve as Chairman of the Upper Chichester Planning Commission. As a co-founder, my hope for Chichester Heart and Soul is to focus on the issues that matter most to residents and local businesses and to be part of the broader Community Heart & Soul movement that helps small towns build a shared vision for the future.

Our work is driven by listening and acting on needs identified by residents, always asking, “What matters most to you?” Whether it’s at a community gathering, with a small business owner, or in conversation with a longtime neighbor, I’m inspired by how much people care about this township. When I’m not working on Planning Commission or Heart and Soul matters, you’ll usually find me with my family, talking with neighbors, or out on the golf course trying to straighten out my drive—so if you see me around town or on the course, please say hello and tell me what matters most to you.

My name is Judith Stang. I arrived in this community in 2006 and found that people were open, welcoming, and eager to engage with their neighbors. I live in the Gardendale section of Upper Chichester on Plum Street. I have worked with various communities throughout my career, serving youth, seniors, and community organizations. Currently, I am involved with the Friends of the Upper Chichester Library, the Chichester Rotary Club, Operation Christmas Child, and Memorial Presbyterian Church.

I serve on the Heart & Soul Committee as Vice President. Heart & Soul engages the community by bringing together its assets—both organizations and residents—to meet shared community needs. These needs are identified through surveys, summits, and community activities, with results published in community reports. Doing this work has been incredibly rewarding, and the future is exciting as we continue this journey together

Lauren Aaron

My name is Lauren Aaron and I am honored to serve as the Secretary for Chichester Heart and Soul. Having grown up in Marcus Hook and attended the Chichester School District, my roots here run deep. After earning my degree in Education from Millersville University, there was no question where I wanted to build my life. I returned home, surrounded by my family and life-long friends, and eventually purchased a house in Upper Chichester to start my family.

To this day, I am profoundly grateful for this community. "Chi Pride" isn't just a slogan to me—it is a value I carry into every volunteer project. My goal is to translate “Chi Pride” into tangible action. My hope for Chichester Heart and Soul is to spark a movement of community activism. I want to help create a culture where residents don't just identify the changes they wish to see, but feel truly empowered and energized to "make it happen."

Margaret Mead’s words have served as my guiding light: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” I look forward to being a part of that change with you.
